Dated and permanent — an edition is never rewritten after publication; corrections land in its changelog.
The week's fund-industry signal, curated: fund launches and closes, manager and
servicer moves, and figures from our own registers. Every trade-press item links its
source and ends with why it matters to someone who runs or services funds. Trade-press
items are published only after every cited source was machine-verified; register
figures are computed from the published data files. This is a dated, permanent
edition — it is not updated after publication; corrections land in the changelog.
Blackstone has launched BXPM, a perpetual multi-strategy fund. It bundles the firm's private equity, credit, real estate and infrastructure funds into one wrapper. This is the first product from Blackstone Portfolio Solutions, set up this year to grow the firm's $324bn wealth arm. That wealth arm is about a quarter of Blackstone's $1.3tn total. Rashmi Madan, a 15-year Blackstone veteran just promoted to global head of portfolio solutions, will run BXPM.
Aegon Asset Management has launched the Aegon Insured Credit Fund, an evergreen Luxembourg RAIF for UK and European institutions. Loans are backed by A- or AA-rated insurers, who absorb most of the borrower default risk. The underlying strategy has run at euro swaps plus 215bp gross as of 30 June, with no credit losses or negative migration so far. A Netherlands/UK team manages it.
Polus Capital Management has closed Polus EU CLO XXII at €400m (£344m), the twenty-second vehicle in its European CLO series. That's below the €450m Cairn CLO XX the firm priced in September 2025, its most recent European deal. It extends a programme that has raised more than $1bn for CLOs and other credit investments across Europe and the US since 2014. Polus runs $14bn in assets from London across leveraged credit, special situations and structured credit. A 22nd series close puts Polus among the more prolific European CLO issuers, giving investors a vintage-after-vintage track record to underwrite against.
Goldman Sachs Alternatives' European direct-lending fund has passed $10bn in assets since launching in October 2023. The evergreen strategy holds loans in more than.
Dutch pension giant ABP will allocate €1bn to European VC funds over three years, starting with an initial €250m commitment to the EU-backed Scaleup Europe Fund, according to Het Financieele Dagblad. The move partly answers Brussels' push for pension capital to back the region's scale-ups.
Point72 is cutting quarterly redemptions on its $58.5bn flagship multi-strategy fund from 25% to 8.33% next year. A full exit now takes three years, up from one. Rivals are moving the same way: DE Shaw needs four years, Millennium runs a five-year share class, and Rokos uses three-year terms for some clients.
BlackRock has been named bpfBOUW's preferred candidate for the fiduciary management mandate on its €70bn pension assets, pending final contract negotiations. The firm cited its international scale as the deciding factor. Climate campaign group Follow This has criticised the choice.
Infranity has passed €15bn in assets under management. The manager has committed over €14.5bn to infrastructure debt and equity since its 2018 launch as a Generali-backed platform. It now has more than 80 infrastructure staff and wants to broaden its investor base internationally.
Median across open plans with 1,000+ actives: 0.86 beneficiaries per active; the highest is Milwaukee County (WI) ERS (Wisconsin) at 2.14. A demographic structure, not a scandal — but a maturing plan cannot contribution-grow its way out of a funding hole.
