Dated and permanent — an edition is never rewritten after publication; corrections land in its changelog.

The week's fund-industry signal, curated: fund launches and closes, manager and servicer moves, and figures from our own registers. Every trade-press item links its source and ends with why it matters to someone who runs or services funds. Trade-press items are published only after every cited source was machine-verified; register figures are computed from the published data files. This is a dated, permanent edition — it is not updated after publication; corrections land in the changelog.

Schroders Capital closes fourth co-invest fund at $1.3bn hard cap, largest closed-ended PE vehicle yet

AltAssets · 2026-09-22

Global

Schroders Capital has closed its fourth flagship private equity co-investment fund at its $1.3bn hard cap. It is the firm's largest closed-ended commingled PE vehicle ever. The close lifts Schroders Capital's private equity fundraising for the year above $5bn. For LPs sizing co-invest programmes, the largest vehicles now clear the billion-dollar mark as a matter of course.

Advent International targets $3bn for debut mid-market fund

Buyouts · 2026-09-22

Global

Advent International is targeting $3bn for its first dedicated mid-market vehicle. The fund is meant to sit alongside the firm's flagship global buyout platform, not replace it. That is a structural change for a manager known for large-cap control deals. To win commitments from LPs already in the flagship, Advent must show it has a separate sourcing engine for smaller deals.
