Dated and permanent — an edition is never rewritten after publication; corrections land in its changelog.

The week's fund-industry signal, curated: fund launches and closes, manager and servicer moves, and figures from our own registers. Every trade-press item links its source and ends with why it matters to someone who runs or services funds. Trade-press items are published only after every cited source was machine-verified; register figures are computed from the published data files. This is a dated, permanent edition — it is not updated after publication; corrections land in the changelog.

Aphias Capital closes debut private equity fund above $1bn, beating its target

AltAssets · 2026-10-12

Global

Aphias Capital has closed its inaugural lower mid-market buyout fund at $1.05bn, ahead of its target. The fund is led by Rob Wolfson, formerly healthcare chief at HIG Capital. A first-time vehicle passing $1bn on the strength of one named ex-HIG principal suggests allocators still weight pedigree heavily when backing new managers.

M&G launches private credit LTAF for UK DC pension schemes with £74m of initial commitments

Alternative Credit Investor · 2026-10-12

Europe

M&G has launched its Diversified Private Credit Feeder LTAF for UK defined contribution schemes, opening with £74m of commitments that include capital from its £138bn with-profits fund. It is the firm's first LTAF and sits within a £28bn private and structured credit platform, itself part of an £83bn private markets business. The M&G Corporate Credit Opportunities ELTIF, which has passed €1bn, came before it. DC take-up has been thin, with Morningstar data from 2025 putting all approved LTAFs at just £5m of assets combined. Part of the £74m is seeded in-house, so the launch tests whether the wrapper can attract third-party DC money.
